Christmas 2010 started off the day after our return from McAllen. The tree selection wasn't the greatest (nor were my cookies) this year, but we brought home the most fragrant tree I could find. I had a helper named Sergio dec the tree then found him in a face plant on the floor-passed out from all the Christmas decorating fun! :) It was Sergio's idea to get a train to go around the Christmas tree and used his money to help pay for it! However, since we get a living tree we weren't going to mix water and electricity with a 4 and 2 year old running around.:) I did so much vacuuming this month (so did Sergio as noted by the "role reversal" photo)our carpet should look newer than ever, right? Yet another Christmas wish... Traditions are arising in our family...the kids had to do a Gingerbread house and of course, help with the cookies for Santa. We took our final trip of 2010 to Sea World and the highlight was the Sesame Street Live show. Joe got to be the Secret Reader on the last day of school. He read the Polar Express, The Story of Christmas, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Sergio's class were the "sheep" in this year's Christmas program. They did a "baa crawl" and sang and signed songs. Santa got the letters! We asked if he could come early and he did!:) It was the most magical Christmas to date and we are looking forward to seeing if he will also come to NaNa & PaPa's in Ohio...???
